1. AI speeds up attacks 10x

What once took days to exploit now takes hours, says security firm Check Point. AI is involved in nearly every stage, from picking targets to writing malicious code.

Iranian hackers have hit aviation, energy, and education, even breaking into street cameras to correct missile targeting. US prosecutors charged 17 Iranians in August with stealing research from 144 universities and 42 companies since 2013.

2. The UAE's AI defense team

In May, the UAE launched 'Cyber Factory,' run by the Cyber Security Council and CPX Holding, to design its own AI defenses — aiming for 'national cyber sovereignty.'

Analysts work shifts at a national operations center, watching alerts and sharing intel with banks and government. AI systems assist them, aiming to respond faster than attackers.

3. Machine-to-machine cyber war

Experts say both sides are automating, and many areas are now 'machine-to-machine' conflict. Humans still pick targets and timing; AI scans vulnerabilities and writes code.
