He Took 100,000 Followers on X in Thirteen Months我在X上的粉丝数突破10万了

TL;DR

Treating finance writing as a long-running business, with a fixed platform, a fixed beat and a paywall, the author built 100,000 followers and 700 paying subscribers on X in just over a year.

The author opened a blue check on X and hit 100,000 followers thirteen months later.

Set up the stall first

In August 2025 the author paid for a blue check on X, the platform's paid identity badge.

With the badge came a fixed name, and with it a serious habit of posting long finance threads and essays. Content from an older blog got restaged on this new stall.

There is a second, paying layer

In June 2026 came paid membership: subscribers can send direct messages and read finance essays written only for them.

On the day the follower count passed 100,000, paying subscribers passed 700. The 100,000 is the shopfront; the 700 is the till.

The numbers are really about output

In just over a year: more than 2,600 posts and essays, with individual popular pieces read over 200,000 times.

That averages about five a day. Not inspiration — a rota. The author thanks readers and promises to keep writing.

Politely put, the business now works: free content pulls a crowd, then the membership filters out the small slice willing to pay.
